Reading Day Tomorrow & Bring $25 for pizza!

We will be having a Reading Day tomorrow, Wednesday June 19th.

Please bring plenty of books, pillows, blankets, and you may come in your pijamas or comfortable clothing.

Also, we thought it might be nice to order pizza. If you want to eat pizza, please bring $25 pesos.

Story Island Presentation on Tuesday June 18th at 8:30am!

Dear Parents of 4C:

Dear Parents and Students of 4C:

Please buy the board (max size 50x50cm) and all the clay you will need for your island.

We begin molding and constructing our islands this Thursday, June 13th.

Story Island Project: May 27th - June 7th

Dear Parents and Students of 4C:

We will be starting a very fun and educational project! 

We will be developing and creating a mythical island and writing a story about it.

Your island will inclued at least 10 different natural and man-made elements. You will get a vocabulary list of these elements and resources from me.

We will first create a colored map of your island, and then each island will be created using salt dough and paint. 

The story you create will go along with your mythical island, and you will get a chance to present this.

Biographies - Project

This week in Reading we will be reading the biography of Jim Thorpe, an American athlete born in the 1880's.

We will also be choosing our own famous person to write a biography on.

The person must be a real person who was famous, but is no longer alive. They must be dead now.

We will do investigations on these people, write up a biography and a timeline of their major accomplishments.

Children's Day Celebration, Tuesday April 30th - Early Dismissal

Just a reminder that we will be having our annual Children's Day celebration all day on Tuesday, April 30th and we'll have an early dismissal at 11:45.

There will be homework on Thursday only.

4th Grade Camp - Review Week

Since most of the 4th grade is out at camp, we will only be reviewing this week and will not have new Spelling words or a new Grammar lesson.

Family Day - Absences

Dear Parents,

With our Family Day coming up on Thursday, April 25th it is very important that students are not absent these days (until April 25th). We are rehearsing nearly every day and it really affects our rehearsals when students are absent as we depend upon one another to perform.

I have attached a letter for you to sign in your child's agenda, which they must sign too.

No Homework nor assessments, only do Raz-kids

Dear parents and students,

Because of the Spanish bimestral exams and the 4-day school week, I will not be assigning any homework this week nor will be have any assessments. Students are still responsible for 2 books and 2 quizzes on Raz-kids this week, so please make sure and do that.

Today we tried logging into Pinterest and were unsuccessful. The site has too many glitches and technical difficulties; most students were not able to create an account. For this reason I will research to see if there is another better, more user-friendly collage site that the students can use, and if not, we can simply use the wikispace to collect our ideas.
